In the last meeting of the urban sketchers in Cordoba, I had the misfortune of be ill, so I missed drawing in a very sunny day. Less bad one of the sketchers founders of the group, Arturo came to the sketchrawl and take these pictures.
Pity I couldn´t go, because this time came two new sketchers: Marisa and Rosa, who together with Arturo Ramirez, David Coladas and Antonio Lara completed the group that morning.
Christmas was ending and the first meeting of this year has been in a place to move us away from the bustle of the streets and the marathon family gatherings of the last days. Orive’s Garden is an oasis in the historic center of Córdoba, a garden recovered only a few years ago, an ideal place for sunbathing, breathing and drawing with other friends.
I am very pleased with the assistance; finally I met with others drawing fans who had contacted me by email inquiring about these meetings. Even on this occasion some friends have travelled from Seville, I thank them especially for attending. The complete list of the day: Izabela Radomska, José Alvarez, Lola, Lorenzo Forné, Pedro Tintorero, Juan, Alfonso López, Joanna Haraburda, Natalia Krawczyk, Rafael Jiménez (photography), Elena Jiménez, Eladio Osuna (photography), Miguel (photography), Paco and me.

My little drawing is a partial view of the garden, with a great jacaranda and the tower of the Church of San Andrés in the background . Every time I feel more comfortable with the way I draw, that means I have to change my style, look for new themes, other techniques, another format, new references…
During the last meeting, we had in La Puerta de Almodovar on December 18th last year, the newspaper of the city, El Día de Cordoba, recorded our meeting with a report on their inside pages and part of the back cover; the news has helped me to spread a little more this type of activity and what we, the urbansketchers, do.
Todays meeting DRAWING CORDOBA has been quite varied in attendees, some new friends, beginners or initiated, and others, usuals in this kind of meetings.
I always say that this type of events are related to meet with new persons that they like to draw. It is the first day you meet new drawings fans to and also you can always take the opportunity to see how they draw, undoubtedly the best way to learn.
Meeting list: Loli, Joanna Haraburda, Richard Felgner, IzabelaRadomska, Pauline Marsaillex, Natalia Krawczyk, Joaquin Gonzalez Dorao, Antonio Lara Morcillo, Julio Herrero, Cristóbal Aragón and me.
I´m very grateful to Joaquin, he came from Madrid to sketch with us. Recently I had the opportunity to receive Lapin, so meet with another professional sketcher is a great opportunity to learn.

I receive very few visitors in my city, it’s a shame, I love having friends to whom show Córdoba and if they come to draw the experience is much better. Lapin came last month in a tour he did to Andalusia. He had time to draw more than me, and he is very fast! But at least the three times we met were really cool.
We dared with a complicated interior view of the Mosque-Cathedral, a great challenge! The next day Arturo Ramirez, another urban sketcher of Cordoba joined us. We drew an exterior view of the Mosque-Cathedral and the other view from the river.
The plan for today was to go for a walk and draw something. Our destination was the Bodegas Campos, a famous restaurant in Cordoba located in old restored houses. My drawing is a watercolor that shows small detail of one of the beautiful patios in this restaurant.
Last Saturday we had another meeting to draw in our city, called sketchcrawl. This time the meeting place was the Plaza del Potro. The truth is I have to say I am very pleased with the participation, this time we went much more than usual. In the photo, from left to right: : Lorenzo Forné, Arturo Ramírez, Alvaro Carnicero, Pauline Marsaillex, Izabela Radomska, David Coladas y Stefanie Schnee; Tomás Egea, was also with us, but when we made the photo, he was already gone.
